Showerhead/Flowerhead, 2010

Showerheads/Flowerheads is a public artwork commissioned by the City of Prospect to recycle showerheads collected from members of the community who accessed the City of Prospect’s Water Efficiency Incentive Scheme. It was launched on World Environment Day 2010. This represents Prospect City’s commitment to water conservation, recycling and highlights a number of environmental issues.

The installation was inspired by the design of arid land gardens and the textures and shapes of a range of drought tolerant plants and is a playful comment on the need for drought-resilient gardens.
